Founded in 1980 by Michael Freisenbruch and Meyer Agencies Limited, we are proud to have developed into Bermuda’s largest local insurance intermediary handling all lines of insurance. In June, 2002, our organization entered into an exciting new phase of its development with the introduction of ACE as a partner and the resultant establishment of Bermuda’s newest local insurer, Freisenbruch-Meyer Insurance Limited ("FMIL"). ACE Bermuda Insurance Ltd. (ACE Bermuda), a subsidiary of ACE Limited, acquired a 40% equity interest in both Freisenbruch-Meyer Insurance Services Ltd (“FMIS”) and FMIL. In October, 2005, we were pleased to have Butterfield Bank also take a 30% equity stake in Freisenbruch-Meyer Insurance Limited (“FMIL”). We believe the combination of our insurance expertise along with the strength of our business partners creates a significant advantage for our clients. FMIS provides agency and broking services to Bermuda residents and businesses providing “access” to personal and commercial general insurance, specialty broking, life, health and pension products and services. FMIS also provides underwriting, claims management and administration services to Freisenbruch-Meyer Insurance Limited. Freisenbruch-Meyer Insurance Limited FMIL provides property and casualty insurance products to Bermuda residents and businesses. All of FMIL’s business is produced and administered by FMIS and ACE Bermuda Insurance Ltd. supports FMIL with a comprehensive reinsurance program tailored to meet the demands of Bermuda exposures. Freisenbruch-Meyer Management Services Ltd. Formed in 1982 to provide Management and accounting services to Bermuda-based trading and captive insurance companies. The companies under management include both insurance and trading entities, as well as the Guardian International Investment Trust, which has been developed alongside the Freisenbruch-Meyer Pension Trust. Freisenbruch-Meyer International Services Ltd. Formed in 1973 (as Atlas Management Ltd.) and provides Insurance Broking services for companies and entities situated outside Bermuda. Freisenbruch-Meyer Pension Trust Formed in 1995 to offer Pension Management services to Bermudian firms and international clients. The FMPT’s Trustees oversee its marketing, investment and administration services.
